Lume ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the Lume desktop application (the "App").

### 1. Information the App Accesses and Collects
To provide its core functionality as a screen recording and video editing tool, Lume requires access to the following hardware and software features on your device:

*   **Screen and Window Content:** The App captures your screen or specific application windows to create video recordings.
*   **Microphone:** The App accesses your microphone to record audio narration.
*   **Webcam:** The App accesses your camera to show a video overlay of you during recordings.
*   **Local Filesystem:** The App reads and writes files to your local device to save recordings and load project assets.

### 2. How Your Information is Used (Local Processing Only)
**Lume is built with a "Privacy First" architecture.** 
*   **No Cloud Uploads:** All video and audio recordings created with Lume are stored strictly on your local device. We do not transmit your recordings, camera feed, or microphone audio to our servers or any third-party cloud services.
*   **Local Processing:** All "Auto-Zoom," annotations, and cursor effect processing happens locally on your computer using your device's hardware (GPU/CPU). No biometric data is collected or analyzed.

### 3. Data Storage and Security
Because all data is stored locally, the security of your recordings depends on the security of your device. Lume does not have a database of your recordings and cannot recover them if you delete them from your local disk.

### 4. Third-Party Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties. Since we do not collect your recordings on our servers, it is impossible for us to share them with third parties.

### 5. Children’s Privacy
Lume does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Since the App functions locally, it is suitable for users of all ages, but parents should manage the local storage of any recordings made by children.

### 6. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top.
