PDFree is a desktop application for opening PDF files, viewing PDF restrictions, and removing restrictions from files you are explicitly authorized to modify.

PDFree does not require account creation and does not intentionally collect personal data.

## How PDFree Processes Files

- PDF files are processed locally on your device.
- Passwords entered in the app are used only to open or process the selected file.
- PDF files and passwords are not sent to our servers by PDFree.

## Data Sharing

PDFree does not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.

## Network Use

PDFree is designed to work offline for core features.  
If you add any online features in future releases, update this policy before release.

## Security

We use reasonable steps to protect the app and local processing workflow.  
No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure.

## Children's Privacy

PDFree is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.

## Your Responsibilities

PDFree must be used only on PDF documents that you own or for which you have explicit legal authorization to access, unlock, and modify.

## Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time.  
The "Last updated" date will reflect the latest version.
