Privacy Policy — Scan & Print

Scan & Print is a Windows app published by Wuxxu s.r.o. This policy explains what the app does with your information. It is short because the app does very little with it.

The short version

Scan & Print does not collect anything about you. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your scanned documents stay on your PC. We never see them.

What we collect

Nothing. We operate no server for this app, and the app contains no code that sends your documents, images, recognised text or usage data to us or to anyone else.

What the app stores on your PC

Everything the app saves is stored locally on your own computer, under your control:

The app writes them where you tell it to and never copies them anywhere else.

%LOCALAPPDATA%\ScanAndPrint\settings.json	Your preferences: default file type, resolution, colour mode, save folder, theme, the network addresses of any scanners you added by hand, the last scanner you used, and counters the app uses to decide whether to offer the "rate this app" prompt.

%LOCALAPPDATA%\ScanAndPrint\history.json	A record of scans you have saved: file name and path, date, page count, file size, resolution and format. It does not store the scanned image itself or any text recognised from it.

%LOCALAPPDATA%\ScanAndPrint\temp\	Working copies of pages while a scan is in progress. Cleared when the app starts.

%LOCALAPPDATA%\ScanAndPrint\logs\	A diagnostic log, at most three files of about 1 MB. It records scanner names, file paths and error messages. It stays on your PC — the app never sends it anywhere.

What leaves your PC
The app talks to your scanner and your printer. That is all.

Network scanners (eSCL / AirScan): the app looks for scanners on your local network and receives scanned pages from them. That traffic stays on your own network.

USB scanners (WIA): no network is involved.

Text recognition (OCR): runs entirely on your PC, using either the Tesseract engine included with the app or the recognition built into Windows. Pages are never sent to a cloud service for processing.

Microsoft Store
Two things involve Microsoft rather than us:

Installing and updating. Downloading, installing and updating the app through the Microsoft Store, and any crash information Windows reports, are handled by Microsoft under the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Ratings. If you choose to rate the app, the app opens the Store's own rating prompt. Your rating and review go to Microsoft, not to us.

From the Store we receive only anonymous, aggregated figures — such as total installs and average rating. We cannot identify individual users from them.

If you contact us
If you email us for support, we will have your email address and whatever you write to us. We use it only to answer you, keep it no longer than needed for that, and never add you to a mailing list or pass it to anyone else.

Children
The app is not directed at children, and it collects no information from anyone.

Your rights
Wuxxu s.r.o. is established in the Czech Republic, so the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies to us.

Because the app sends us no personal data, we hold no personal data about you to access, correct, export or erase — apart from a support email, if you chose to send us one, which we will delete on request. The information the app creates lives on your own computer, and you can inspect or delete it yourself at any time.

Removing your data

Your scans: delete them as you would any other file. Deleting a scan from the app's History moves that file to the Recycle Bin, so you can still recover it from there.

The app's own data: delete the folder %LOCALAPPDATA%\ScanAndPrint, which holds your settings, history, logs and temporary files.

Uninstalling removes the app. Scans you have saved to your Documents folder are your files and are never touched by an uninstall.

Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top of it. Any significant change will also be mentioned in the app's release notes.
