Privacy Policy for Yet Another Terminal

Yet Another Terminal is a local Windows desktop application designed to help developers manage PowerShell terminal sessions, command snippets, project workspaces, and related local workflow settings.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the app does and does not collect.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Yet Another Terminal does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share personal information.

The app does not require an account, login, cloud sync, or remote user profile. We do not collect names, email addresses, passwords, payment details, location data, contact lists, browsing history, or personal files.

2. Local App Data

Yet Another Terminal may store app configuration data locally on your device so the app can function properly. This may include:

- Saved terminal session names
- Saved command snippets
- Project workspace paths
- Startup command settings
- Shell profile settings
- Theme and appearance preferences
- Font, scrollback, and terminal behavior settings
- Recent workspace or session references

This information is stored locally on your Windows device and is used only to provide the app’s features.

3. Command Snippets and Terminal Content

Any command snippets, terminal sessions, workspace paths, or command inputs you create are controlled by you.

Yet Another Terminal does not intentionally send your terminal commands, terminal output, project paths, command snippets, or workspace configuration to the developer or to any external server.

Because the app runs PowerShell and local shell commands, commands you run may interact with your own system, files, network, developer tools, or third-party services depending on what you execute. Those actions are controlled by the user and are outside the app’s own data collection.

4. Internet Access

Yet Another Terminal is primarily a local desktop application.

If you run commands inside the terminal that access the internet, communicate with package managers, repositories, APIs, remote servers, or other online services, those connections are initiated by the commands you choose to run. This Privacy Policy does not cover third-party services or command-line tools used from inside the terminal.

5. Analytics and Tracking

Yet Another Terminal does not include third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or behavioral tracking.

The app does not use advertising identifiers and does not track users across apps or websites.

6. Crash Reports and Diagnostics

Yet Another Terminal does not intentionally collect crash reports, diagnostic logs, or telemetry and send them to the developer.

If the Microsoft Store, Windows, or your operating system provides separate crash reporting or diagnostic features, those are governed by Microsoft’s own privacy policies and system settings.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share user data with advertisers, data brokers, or third parties.

Because the app does not collect personal data, there is no personal data shared by the app developer.

8. Data Security

App settings and saved workspace data are stored locally on your device. You are responsible for protecting access to your device, Windows account, files, and terminal environment.

Avoid saving sensitive secrets, passwords, API keys, or tokens in command snippets unless you understand the risks of storing them locally.

9. Children’s Privacy

Yet Another Terminal is intended for developers and general productivity use. The app is not directed toward children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
