SubTract PDF Scanner operates under a strictly "Offline-First" and "Local-Only" architecture.

• No Accounts Required: The App does not require you to create an account, log in, or sign up for any service.
• No Usage Tracking: We do not track how you use the application, which buttons you click, or how long you use the App. We do not use third-party analytics services (e.g., Google Analytics, Firebase).

3. Financial Data and Document Handling
The core function of the App is to scan PDF bank and credit card statements to identify subscription patterns. We handle this sensitive data with the highest level of security: Isolation.

• Local Processing: All PDF scanning and data extraction occurs locally on your device's Random Access Memory (RAM).
• No Cloud Uploads: Your financial documents are never uploaded to any server, cloud storage, or third-party processor.
• In-Memory Operations: Data from your PDFs is processed in volatile memory. Once you close the application, this data is cleared from memory. The App does not save copies of your PDFs to any hidden folders on your hard drive.

4. Network Access and Internet Usage
SubTract PDF Scanner is designed to function completely offline. You can disconnect your device from the internet, and the App's scanning features will function without limitation.

The App does not initiate any background network requests. The only instance where the App interacts with the internet is via user-initiated actions:
• External Links: The App generates "Cancel Subscription" links. Clicking these buttons will launch your device's default web browser to the official homepage of the respective subscription service (e.g., netflix.com). The App passes no user data to these websites; it simply opens the URL.

5. File System Permissions
To function, the App requires access to the specific PDF files you wish to scan.
• User-Initiated Access: The App only accesses files that you explicitly select via the file picker or by dragging and dropping them into the App window.
• Read-Only Access: The scanning process requires read access to extract text. The App does not modify your original PDF files.
• Exporting Data: If you choose to "Save as PDF" or "Save for Excel" (CSV), the App will request permission to write a new file to a location of your choosing. It does not overwrite existing files without your permission.

6. Third-Party Data Sharing
Since we do not collect any data, we do not share, sell, rent, or trade any data with third parties. There are no advertising SDKs or tracking pixels included in this software.

7. Children’s Privacy
SubTract PDF Scanner does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13. As the App functions entirely offline and collects no data, it is safe for use by all age groups, though it is intended for financial management by adults.
