GlassDeck is designed to respect your privacy. We do not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data.

The Application runs locally on your device and only processes data necessary to provide its core functionality (Weather, Stocks, and Notes).

2. How We Use Information Locally
To function properly, the Application temporarily processes the following data entirely on your local device:

Location/City Data: To provide accurate weather forecasts, the Application uses the city name you manually enter into the Settings. This location data is saved locally on your device and is only used to query third-party weather APIs.
Stock Symbols: The financial tickers you add are saved locally to fetch real-time market data.
Quick Notes: Any text entered into the Quick Notes section is saved locally in your Windows application settings file entirely on your machine. We have no access to your notes.
3. Third-Party Services
To provide live data, the Application makes requests to secure third-party Application Programming Interfaces (APIs):

Weather Data: We use a third-party weather API to fetch temperature, humidity, wind, and forecast information based on the city you select.
Financial Data: We use a third-party financial API (e.g., Yahoo Finance) to retrieve the latest stock market prices based on the symbols you provide.
These requests are made directly from your device to the respective services. Please note that these third-party providers may automatically collect standard internet log data (such as your IP address) when responding to requests, as governed by their respective privacy policies.

4. Data Security
Because all your preferences, notes, and customized settings are saved locally on your device's hard drive using standard Windows .NET Properties.Settings, your data is as secure as your own operating system. We do not maintain any external databases or servers that hold your personal information.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page or updating the Application's store listing. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
