Privacy Policy Mental Notes Daily Journal by Mobile Logic Effective date: September 28, 2026 The short version Mental Notes Daily Journal is a private journal that lives on your device. We do not collect your journal, we do not have accounts, and the app does not send your information anywhere. Mobile Logic never sees what you write. Who we are Mobile Logic ("we", "us") publishes Mental Notes Daily Journal (the "App") for Windows. Questions about this policy can be sent to info@mobiletechla.com. What the App stores, and where Everything the App stores is kept on your device, in the App's private storage area managed by Windows: • Your journal entries: titles, text, dates, mood, tags, favorites, and the writing prompt used (if any). • Your settings: theme, typeface, text size, daily word goal, and the optional name you enter for greetings. • A local error log: if the App hits an unexpected error, technical details of the error may be written to a small log file on your device to help troubleshoot. This file is never sent to us or anyone else automatically. This information stays on your device. We cannot access it, and we do not receive a copy. What we do not do • We do not collect, transmit, or sell your personal information. • The App has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no cloud sync. • The App does not contain advertising, analytics, or tracking tools. • The App does not use your location, contacts, camera, or microphone. • We do not share your journal with third parties. Exports and backups you create The App lets you export your journal as a Markdown file or save a JSON backup. These files are created only when you choose to, and are saved in the location you pick. Exported files are plain, unencrypted text. Anyone with access to the file can read it, so store them somewhere safe. Any cloud folder you save them into (for example OneDrive) is governed by that service's own privacy policy, not ours. Security Your journal is stored in the App's private storage, which Windows protects with your Windows user account permissions. The App does not add its own encryption or passcode lock, so we recommend keeping your device protected with a strong Windows sign-in and, where available, device encryption such as BitLocker. Microsoft Store and Windows If you download the App from the Microsoft Store, Microsoft may collect information about your download, purchase, and use of the App, and diagnostic data from Windows, under Microsoft's own privacy statement (https://privacy.microsoft.com). That collection is done by Microsoft, not by us, and we do not receive your journal content through it. Your choices and control • Edit or delete an entry: open it in the App and delete it. • Delete everything: use "Delete all journal entries" in Settings. • Remove all App data: uninstalling the App removes its stored journal and settings from your device. Files you exported yourself are not removed and must be deleted by you. Children's privacy The App is a general-audience journaling tool and is not directed to children under 13. Because we do not collect personal information, we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children. Changes to this policy If we change how the App handles information, we will update this policy and the effective date above. Material changes will be described in the App's Store listing or release notes. Contact Mobile Logic email: info@mobiletechla.com
