Privacy Policy — PriceRadar Last updated: August 2026 This Privacy Policy explains what data PriceRadar ("the app") collects, stores, and shares, and gives you control over it. PriceRadar is a desktop application for tracking product prices on websites you choose. Summary PriceRadar does not create an account for you, does not collect analytics or telemetry, does not show ads, and does not sell or share your data with third parties. All data the app creates is stored locally on your own computer. What data is stored, and where Everything PriceRadar stores is saved locally on your device, in: %LocalAppData%\PriceRadar\ This includes: Tracked items — the names, URLs, CSS selectors, and price history you add for the products you choose to track (priceradar_data.json). App settings — your check interval, notification preferences, selected language, and currency conversion preferences (priceradar_settings.json). Currency exchange rate cache — the most recently fetched exchange rates, used for automatic currency conversion (priceradar_rates_cache.json). Diagnostic log — a technical log of the app's own operations (requests made, selectors parsed, matches found, errors), used only to help troubleshoot problems (priceradar_log.txt). This log stays on your device; you can open, review, or clear it at any time from the Settings tab. None of this data is transmitted to us or to any third party. We (the developer) have no access to it. Network requests the app makes To do its job, PriceRadar connects to the internet in three ways: Websites you add — when you add a product to track, the app requests the page at the URL you provided in order to read the price. It does not visit any site you have not explicitly added. Frankfurter (api.frankfurter.app) — a free, no-API-key currency exchange rate service, used only if you enable automatic currency conversion. Only currency codes are sent (e.g. "EUR"); no personal or usage data is sent. See Frankfurter's own terms for how they operate. Microsoft Store — used to verify or process the purchase of the optional "PriceRadar PRO" add-on. This purchase is handled entirely by Microsoft; we never see your payment details. See Microsoft's Privacy Statement for how the Microsoft Store handles this. Your control over your data All data is stored only on your computer — you can inspect, back up, or delete it at any time using normal file tools. The app includes a "Delete All Data" button (Settings tab) that permanently erases all tracked items and history, with a written confirmation step to prevent accidental deletion. Uninstalling the app does not automatically delete the %LocalAppData%\PriceRadar\ folder — this is intentional, so reinstalling the app doesn't lose your history. You can delete this folder manually at any time to remove all app data. Children's privacy PriceRadar is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children. Since the app does not collect any personal data from any user, this applies equally to users of any age. Changes to this policy If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at the same URL, with a revised "Last updated" date above.
