Screen Eye Care stores app settings locally on your Windows device. These settings may include your selected city or latitude and longitude when you enable location-based schedules. Precise location is accessed through Windows Location Services only after you choose "Use current location" and Windows grants permission. The location is used locally to calculate sunrise and sunset and is not sent by Screen Eye Care to the developer.

When you search for a city, the city name and interface language are sent to the Open-Meteo geocoding service to return matching locations. Open-Meteo processes that request under its own privacy practices. Screen Eye Care does not sell personal information, display advertising, create user profiles, or require an account. Local settings remain on your device until you change them, reset the app, or uninstall it. You can deny Windows location permission and enter a city or coordinates manually.
